Acoustic Neuroma

Acoustic neuroma (vestibular schwannoma) accounts for 75-90% of cerebellopontine angle masses.

Associated with neurofibromatosis (especially if bilateral)

MRI imaging modality of choice

85% vestibular portion of 8th nerve

Iso/hypodense on T1W MRI; hyperintense on T2W MRI

Intensely enhancing post contrast (Gd-DTPA) with low signal centre (this image)
